Default Replace alloy MTB stem with Salsa Cr-mo stem?

I need a different size stem for my Ti hardtail MTB. I was
considering replacing the current welded aluminum stem with
a Salsa SUL Cro-mo stem. The Salsa stem comes in a 25 deg
rise which would be perfect for my need. It is about the
only stem I have found with this amount of rise. everything
else is 17 or 40 degree rise - nothing in between. It is a
bit costly (about $60) Anyone know of another 120mm x 25
degree stem? Or is the Salsa worth the $$$?

Just a suggestion, but I think a few local bike shops around
here have boxes full of old stems (that other people have
swapped off). You could always see what they have in the
size you want, or even try different sizes.. and it'll
probably be cheap since they'll be used!

I special-ordered a Bontrager select stem 130mm/25 (and I know they make 125mm/25) from speedgoat.com for $35. Only took about a week to get it.

Thanks, but I've been to a lot of shops. No luck finding
the size I need. They are all 40 degree or close to 0
degree rise.

I was more interested in feedback on the Salsa stem itself.
Is it a very high quality stem worthy of the $$$?

The Salsa cro-moly stem is a very nice stem. Its actually
made by Waterford for Salsa. Enough said!
