Default Campy pedals--Increase release tension?

Greetings All, I've been riding Chorus Pro-Fit pedals for a while and find that the release tension
is too weak for me even when set at maximum tension. I like the pedals, but given the small amount
of float, I find I slip sideways out of the pedals far too easily. Question: Is there any way to
increase the tension? It seems that I recall Peter C. or someone here saying that you can bend the
wire release to increase the tension. Thanks for any tips.

I've been riding Chorus Pro-Fits for nearly 30,000kms at the original tension setting. I've never
unintentionally disengaged, even in sprints from low speeds or at over 60kph. Unless there is
something wrong with your pedals, I'd say they just don't suit you. Sell them and try something
else. Mark Lee

I've had the same problem, & would also be interested.

Original Profits needed to have the spring bent UP to make getting out easier. i would say replace
the pedal springs(part number PD-RE-105) and get new cleats, hardware.

But, but....the pedals are only four months old--1,600 miles maybe. A warranty issue (groan)?

Perhaps you need to tweek the angle at which your cleat is mounted? In "SPD"-type pedals (especially
Wellgo), just a slight twist makes all the difference between excellence and serious problems.
