Bay Area (San Jose) - This last weekend I tried to find the Soquel Demo Trail off hwy 17 - Los Gatos I think. My information was that I was to park 4 miles off the junction of 17 and Skyline - off Highlands road. I found Highlands road and after asking directions from some riders, I ended going up 8-10 miles on Highlands road, and then never did find a route called Tractor - an easier route. Does any bay area riders know this area well enough to give me a bit more precise instructions. Thanks Scott |

Demonstration forest is reached from Highland Way that heads south from Summit Road either from HWY 17 or from the west on Soquel Road. The trailhead is after the descent past several land slides on Highland way and before Camp Loma. It is near the lowest point where the road is on the same level as Soquel Creek. Here's another way: 17->Summit Road->San Jose-Soquel Rd ->Stetson->Comstock Mill Road The demo forest road starts at the end of Comstock Mill Road. If you're driving, you have to park on Stetson and ride (about 1.5 miles) to the forest. -- Jens <jobst.brandt@stanfordalumni.org> wrote in message news:OhqWa.7317$dk4.325449@typhoon.sonic.net... > Scott C? who writes: > > > Bay Area (San Jose) - This last weekend I tried to find the Soquel Demo Trail off hwy 17 - Los > > Gatos I think.
