Default Campy 8-speed cassette on shimano 105 9-speed hub

Hi!

I have two bikes, one with Shimano 9-speed Ultegra/105 and one with Campy 8-speed... and one spare
set of wheels with shimano 9-speed hubs.

I would like to know if it is possible to put the Campy 8-speed cassette on the shimano 9-speed hub,
so I could use my spare set of wheels on my two bikes.

Thnx!

Campagnolo and Shimano 8-speed are close enough the same spacing that you should be able to put a
Shimano 8-speed cassette on the hub and use it.

Campagnolo sprockets don't fit Shimano hubs.

I bought a dura-ace 8 spd cassette and ended up having to use a campy spacer kit made by Wheels
Manufacturing in order for the shifting to be perfect. If i remember right it was red anodized also.

Ya gotta use the red spacer kit to make a Shimano 8 speed cassette work well with Campy 8 speed.

It's not the spacing that's the real problem, it's the spline pattern. Won't work.

No but you can get a Wheels Manufacturing Campagnolo cogset that is compatible with shimano 9s
shifting, that will go onto your Campagnolo 8s wheel.

He's already got the 3.2 mm spacers from his Campy cassette. The 105 x 9sp is a loose cog cassette.
I think that he could use the Campy spacers for 8 of the Shimano cogs and not have to buy anything.
