Sachs 5000 component level

Speaking of component group level, I am wondering if anyone here can tell me anything about the
group level of Sachs 5000 compared to say Shimano or Campagnolo.

And where does the Sachs 5000 rear derailleur stands now if I am to replace it with a Shimano
equivalent?
