Default Feb. New Yorker: Lynne Cox on her Anarctic swim

Cold water swimming isn't my cup of (iced) tea, but it's pretty amazing to read what she's done.
This includes swimming over a mile to the shore of Antarctica in low-30s degree water. The issue is
dated February 3, 2003.

Lynne Cox (who has done much of her training in my "home waters" of North Orange County) has got to
be the greatest cold water swimmer of all time.

I won't argue with that. Physiologically, she is apparently almost inhuman, and she describes in her
article the results of some of the cold-water studies in which she participated.
