TI approach is starting to prove effective among the pros !! http://www.totalimmersion.net/articl.../Adrienne.html By Derigan Silver Four years ago, while producing the Total Immersion Freestyle and Backstroke video, I chose 13-year old Adrienne Binder of the Santa Barbara (CA) Swim Club as the swimmer to feature on Long Axis Combos. Her stunning fluency in those drills was no accident, as she had been practicing TI drills for three years with TI Coach Derigan Silver. Just a week ago, Adrienne swam 1650-yard freestyle in 15:42, the 3rd fastest women?s mile in history, the 2nd fastest ever by an American and the fastest ever by a high-schooler. |

I note that on her swiminfo page, here height is 6' and her weight is 0. Truly, this is the ultimate testimony to technique, i.e., no muscle (or tissue) mass at all required :-) http://www.usswim.org/superstars/tem...earch&name=585 - Al |
