Yes, if not gain a podium spot. He certainly has the skills to stay in the mountains with the big boys along with well-known sprinting skills for time bonuses. He's still young but barring injury like last year I can see him pulling it off.

My question:
Is Lance Armstrong the best cyclist of all time?

No - Eddy Merckx is the greatest cyclist of all time.

My question - are Eddy Merckx bikes too expensively priced?

Yes, all good bikes are over priced.

Are TREK Bikes good value for money?

They are getting better (now that the competition is getting a little more air time - the post Lance years in the U.S.) but IMHO you can still get a better bike for the same money in a few places (C'Dale, Cervelo to name a couple).

My question: Carbon has been 'all the rave' for the past couple of years but the prices are still much higher than aluminum. Are the claimed benefits actually worth the extra $$'s?

Interesting question. I think if Floyd flies at the Tour, and Danielson bombs in the Vuelta, it will probably happen. However, if Floyd bombs the Tour and Danielson does well at the Vuelta, then no, I don't think so.

Do you believe cycling will ever become a relatively 'clean' sport, with regards to doping?

There are too many smart people out there who will always find a way to slide past the rules enough to be just a little more successful than they should be. Testing will always lag just far enough behind to question results, but not overturn results with an infallible stamp of authority. Meanwhile, professional cycling suffers.

How long will Tom Boonen dominate the ranks of pro cycling?

As long as he wants! in terms of classics racing anyway. Valverde would be his biggest rival but he'l be busy with the grand tours over the next few years. Boonen is by far the best rider in terms of the tour of flanders and paris-Roubaix.

Would Lance Armstrong have won tour number 8 if he hadnt retired?

Yes. With the way he trains and the Discovery team the way it is, it would be extremely difficult to beat him.

My question. Do you think Ulrich will win the tour?
