I just might do that, once I figure out how I can secure my steed on my roof. Not to mention, I have a pair of new tires to put on it, just bought a pair of Bontrager Select-K tires just like the ones I have now, only the new ones are all black and 700x23 as opposed to the 700x25's that are on it now. I gotta replace the back one, must've been nicked by a stray piece of glass when I went out on my birthday this past Sunday. It's got a small but deep gash in it. Not to mention, since I'll be changing tire sizes, I'll need to adjust the comp....

well, i know that even though you're on my ignore list and judging by that bike set up you most certainly deserve it and so i logged in just so as to not be able to see what you have to say in response , i just want to add that i agree with alienator that i'm not sure that bike is set up correct at all or that the possiblilty of your frame being a tad bit too small is not visible for all the world inspect right now. the only experience i have with this situation is that when i first got my tarmac i set it up as so ![]() ![]() ![]() (and yeah i know of the bontrager bottle cage and bars on a specialized but i don't care so please no slack about that) and i as well felt very good or so i thought until after a four or five hundred miles until i did begin to feel overextended physically and felt the need to change it up to this. ![]() oops, not that one ![]() this. ![]() now i was fit but not by a pro or anything like you may have been at fit werx and i did change up the set up they had me with after the innitial consulatation i know that when the bike really feels right and the fit is as close to as perfect as you think you may have it after knowing all of the facts of a fit that you should be able to be perched atop it and not knees straight down, legs not fully extended at the bottom of your stroke or six o'oclock position. i hope that that is not the case with you and if not and you're good with it than cool.

you might not be able to tell by that after pic but i raised the bars back up with all the spacers and lowered the seat a bit, the result being no pain anywhere and a much better ride and much better control and much longer time in the saddle with better averages from higher maintainable speeds and with much more ease comparitively. i dialed it in is the correct term i do believe and i just thought you may have the same problem pretty soon. if not, cool.

I understand how you see that by the way it looks, but that frame is a 61cm, and I am almost 6'5" tall, so, no matter what bike or what size frame, seat post will always be up far for me. I was fitted by 2 pro triatheletes and fitting specialists www.fitwerx.com for almost 2 hours, they really know their stuff. So far my 1st ride was beautiful. P.S. It is a new design by Felt, and it's a blend of a compact frame also. (more of a reason why seat post looks higher) |

in the first pics of it yes but i was wrong and it felt wrong the more i roEd and it's not as high as yours for my heigth, 5'11. it's much more balanced around the core now vs. spread out and all over the place and useless. but if yours feels right then no problems, right? does it feel right or does it feel store fit as a first timer?

and on another note, i'm not so sure that any frame or make is gonna force you to have that high of a seat post resulting in oddities of balance if that possibility exists for you as there are custom bike builders. expensive, very but they are out there.
