Ya I'm 6'4", could say almost 6'5" (few mm's short ) so I imagine every seat post will be maxed on me.
Leonard Zinn is a tall guy like you, and he specializes in making frames for tall guys....and girls, I guess. He even makes custom length cranks (longer, shorter, crankarms of different lengths) those with dimensions outside the norm.

I gotta replace the back one, must've been nicked by a stray piece of glass when I went out on my birthday this past Sunday. It's got a small but deep gash in it.

Not to mention, since I'll be changing tire sizes, I'll need to adjust the comp....
That's easy: see the piccy for the DIY solution.

I was fitted by 2 pro triatheletes and fitting specialists www.fitwerx.com for almost 2 hours, they really know their stuff. So far my 1st ride was beautiful.

P.S. It is a new design by Felt, and it's a blend of a compact frame also. (more of a reason why seat post looks higher)

Like I said, it just looked like it was small. You have to remember that analyzing fit by looking at a picture on a forum is most often fruitless and a waste of time that could have been spent looking for nude photos of Mila Jovovich. You have to always remember what Confucius said: "If it feels good, do it, but get a hand full of lard just in case."

The 1st ride today, A++. A ton of comfort, and quickness, very stable and just a great fit. The 1st thing I would upgrade (for now) are the wheels. Also running stock 25's on them right now, which are comfortable tires, but obviously not as fast.
Let me know what all of you think.

Thanks,

Nice lookin' bike. A sweet ride indeed...

... but the nose of your saddle should not be pointing down like that. You're supposed to sit on the saddle - not rely on your arms pushing against the bars to keep you on it.

As for the 25's - if you like them then keep them. The difference in speed is negligable at best. In a race that 'negligable' may become significant, i.e. in an final sprint you might lose out by a foot but for fast group rides, training and everything else comfy is good.

I'm going on my 2nd ride today, hopefully a 35+ miler, so I'll keep testing everything out, but so far, the comfort and control of it are unbelievable, also the crank's are 175's, which is a big difference coming off of a cyclocross. Even my form is a ton more comfortable, I'm not as slouched over as I was. So far not 1 issue or complaint (knock on wood).

cyclocross bike are designed differently and for it's own set purpose of bikeness ? so that's expected. make sure you post in the daily ride thread after your second ride to help keep that going if you wouldn't mind Gregg. i'll be putting down some serious miles this weekend as well and putting it there, obviously.

glad you're happy with your bike and i'm no pro or experienced anything when it comes to, well, just about anything but i have been enthusiasticly riding for some many years now so i bid you a formal welcome on my behalf only along with your new ride to the wonderful world of cycling.

now go ride a hundred miles!

Preston.

Normally I used to ride my "after-work" 22 mile route in about 1:20, today's ride on my new bike was 1:14. I know I had more energy than usual, but it is such a huge difference in everything from comfort to speed. I simply love it.

I am in the US since 1993, came from Poland.

Yes it definitely is. The main thing I found is that I'm not as slouched over (cause of the compact style), so I have zero neck, back, arm, any pain. Plus I have way more control and power. Every ride gets better as I get used to it.

I will most likely do some upgrades on it in the near future like wheels.
Planning on either selling my old Jamis, or keeping it as a beater ride.

Let me know what all of you think.

Thanks,
