Default Most competitive road racing city in US?

Where's the 'hotbed' for road cycling in the US?

Well, at least the southern hotbed for road cycling? (Needs to have warm year round cycling).

I'm looking for the greatest number of riders/racers/clubs/fast group rides.

Greenville, SC

George Hincapie and Craig Lewis both live here. Also, the US Cycling Championships are held here in September for the past 4 or 5 years, and has been selected as the location for next year as well.

Judging by the number of CAT 1's, believe it would have to be SoCal. Of course, lot's of other places have famous cyclists too. The current US Elite Road and World Master's TT champ, Michael Olheiser, lives and trains here in Huntsville AL.
