Hi, this is my first time visiting this forum. I just started out cycling about a month ago after baking off of running. Since biking, I have been getting knee pain when I stand up from sitting for a few minutes. it does not hurt when riding.I have not been stretching before riding which is about 70 miles a week right now. should I be stretching, and if so what is the best bet? Any help would be appreciated. |

For instance, the height of your saddle can cause knee pain if it isn't adjusted correctly and there are other fitment issues that could contribute. As far as stretching goes: If it makes you feel good, then do it. ![]() I personally have never experienced any benefit to my joints by stretching. I do stretch to loosen up my muscles, but that is usually during and after my ride. Stretching before my ride seems to hurt more than it helps. I think you have to figure out what works for you. |
