Yes we camped. it was two 15 days with three rest days. I went with a group for teens ( http://www.apogeeadventures.com/ ) The tour was fun, a little buggy. I felt that i may tip some times on the hills when i was standing on the bike |

I've done loaded touring with a hybrid very much like what you describe, same bike I use to go to work. However, I felt a bit limited by the straight bar, so I added horns and I started riding almost exclusively on the horns. Then I brought said horns from the outer extremes of the bar to as close as possible to the center. Then I understood I'd better get drop bars, which I did last winter, to my great satisfaction. Since then I've done 3000 km on the bike, including a max of 208 km in one day, all very comfortable. |
