Firstly, I think that you're selling Horner short. He's blazing fast now but he's also riding really smart. Secondly, Lance's racing is directly purely at the Tour de France. He might be foolish to take any chances in the race as a whole. However, as important as Bald Mountain is to him I think that he'd want to win it and will give it a good shot. But I'm sure that if push comes to shove, the TdF is more important than Bald Mountain and he won't push ultimately if he thinks that Horner is too strong for him. Thirdly, I really like Bobby, but he is his own worse enemy. Without Riis blowing sweet nothings in his ear I don't know if he can perform up to his potential. I'm still pissed at him for not attacking Ullrich in what? '97? Hopefully Riis got him eating real food and not that whole earth organic stuff he thought of as food. |

I think Lance will find the going on the Bald tough, and will sit up and decide "not to lose" like Cipo did yesterday. > Thirdly, I really like Bobby, but he is his own worse enemy. I think Julich is brimming with confidence, and riding away from Lance on the Bald will push him over the edge. He'll lead out the 2 up sprint with Horner at the top and he'll lose the stage and win the race. |

I would really love to see Bobby win a big race that might lead to a champion performance in the Tour. |

Actually, as I understand it Horner doesn't race in Europe primarily because
he doesn't want to make the family sacrifices necessary due to having small children.
