Wonder if he's blamed the logo for causing him to lose yesterday..."The
logo..it slow me down..I can't compete if I don't have the right
equipment!!" Heehee..

Cheers,

Scott..

Max didn't seem to have anything to complain about after that race. I'd
say he was rather pleased to end up second. But it's true that he has been
(and likely will be) fairly vocal about percieved equipment issues.

I would like to see some of the Nascar guys getting a regular workout.
They could ride outdated equipment : pre-indexed, non-duel pivot
,steel lugged frames. That way they wouldn't feel out of place when
they got back on the race track.

There was an Italian rider who used to train with Pantani. He won some
kind of extra race (not on the official calendar but all the riders
did it) in Italy almost every year (guess with Aprillia 250cc). I
think it was the only race he participated in each year, bit like the
Japanese wild card riders in Japan. If i recall right he was a garbage
man the rest of the year and already in his late thirties. Can't
remember his name though, but pretty sure it ended with an i (now that
helps a lot).

Maybe not this year. Didn't the announcers make a big deal about how Biaggi
and Rossi had switched teams so each was riding what the other rode last
year and Rossi still wins? That should shut him up, unless I am confusing
Biaggi with someone else.

Perhaps you're thinking of Marcellino Lucchi. He was (and may still be)
a test rider for Aprilia. He did win an actual race a few years ago, while
in his early 40s.

Actually, they had the same bike last year, Honda RC 211V. Biaggi
complained that Rossi get the better engine spec and latest parts and that's
why he was always behind. They definitely had a battle royal, Rossi on a
slower bike I believe. But he out-rode Biaggi. The Doctor is IN!!

Cheers,

Scott..
