And Tyler won this race last year, too. Tyler's got to get through a
tour without crashing.

And the heavily cobbled stage at the beginning of the Tour is not going to
help him.

Blast, Sod and Balls. :-(
Please indicate in the subject when posts contain results.
If I'd have known I certainly wouldn't have read your post til after I'd
watched the recorded Time Trial

Thanks

I don't quite understand why someone would record a TT for later viewing
and blind the results in the meantime.

Because I was unable to watch it live on TV. !!
Makes perfect sense to me... don't you ever tape programmes to watch later?

Road stages, yes, because I'm interested in the tactics, strategy,
attacks, counters, collusion, and back-stabbing (especially the latter).
Rarely TTs, but perhaps I'm missing something. Since I'm interested in the
tactics, strategy, etc., I don't particularly worry if I learn the result
ahead of time.

Agreed

We like shouting at the TV set and the commentator ( usually DD).
Difficult if not impossible if you already know the result.

And now Tyler thinks he can win:

"My objective remains the Tour de France, I'll target a podium place
but I also believe that I can win. I had to fight for victory here
for Phonak."

Yep, but if it's a cycling race and I don't want to know the result
I'd never come on r.b.r before watching it given the normal etiquette
of posting the podium in the header...

It is common for people in rbr to post the winners, and frequently the whole
podium, in the header. In that case, your whole weekend would have been
ruined anyway.

No it only ruined Sunday!!LOL
The heading was actually "Lance will have problems in July" , There was no
mention of the Tour of Romandy. If there had of been, I wouldn't have opened
the post
But thats by the by now.
Looking ahead, Would it be to much to ask for people not to actually post
the results in the headings.
Other NGs I read ( not cycling) will usually say something along the lines
of "result of ??????? (inc.spoiler)"
then type the result further down the page, so one can't accidently read
it.iyswim
