I like the Voler shorts/bibs that I've been using since '02. Castelli
has been having issues (US) since at least 2000. Simply not durable.
The Colorado Cyclist bibs were of much better quality, which suprised
me at the time.

I hate to bad mouth a nice guy trying to make a living, but our team
used Stelvio last year, and I have to say it is the absolute worse
clothing I have ever had, I actually stopped racing in my team bib's
because I came home with cuts every time I
rode more then two hours in them.

To be honest, I have heard that there '04 stuff is MUCH improved.

Are you aware of any Castelli US production that was good?

I think you are right, but 2 of them are offered to teams. I guess I need to
ask the buyer. Thanks

nope...but 2000 was the first time I bought Castelli (and last time).
I wouldn't know about the quality before that (or after for that
matter...i have to rely on the level of bitching on rbr).

Sorry to reply to my own post, but I realize I was confusing two
Chrises -- one is a guy who is friends with or involved with the
Stelvio company. The other, who raved about the stuff, is Chris at
Excel who as far as I know is not involved with the Stelvio company
and I'm sorry to suggest that he was.

Pinhead. Well at least you're aware that there were some possible
conflicts-of-interest.

I've used:

Good Stuff - cheap and wears fairly fast but you can change your jersey
every year because of that.

VO2Max - I wasn't wild about their material but their quality was
outstanding

Voler - I like their clubman cut. I don't know about you guys but age hasn't
made me thinner. Their stuff all seems to shrink in the dryer so dry it on a
hanger. It doesn't take much longer anyway.

Aside from the custom stuff I have an entire double closet wide set of
jerseys. Of all of the stuff I've ever used the only one I would really tout
is Sugoi which is probably 2 or 3 steps high quality above anything else
I've used. But it's really hard to come by. My ex-sister-in-law has a Sugoi
wind shell that looks amost new after 10 years.
