Thrust me they were going full out......no point in holding back in TT. This was a test for every TDF contender. It's looking good

Anyone read what Ladis said about riders who have stomach bug in Cycle Sport magazine ? ........FOS

Vino good ride as well.... he has never been that close to Armstrong before.... although Armstrong was a bit slow but looks in good form.... Heres overcooked it again and needs to gain about 27 minutes in the mountains.....

I should add that today's stage should be a true test of the riders recovery after the TT..... I think Botero will do a good one..... he is strong there is no doubt about it.... Be interesting to see how Lepi, Armstrong and Landis go..... my tip today:

 • Landis
 • Lepi
 • Armstrong
 • Botero
Anyone else willing to through their 2p's worth in ?

Not Landis......he rode poorly in TdGA in the mountains....

1) Levi
2) Armstrong
IF they stay together lance will want to win.......ne pas de gifts

3) Menchov (if he's recovered from a headache)
Disco will try and do their TDF thing; trying to ride everyone of there wheel so that the best can play it out together.

Any other climbers of note who could steal a stage and some time ? What about Vino going for a kamazee effort ?

The Disco boys may leave it up to the waterboys to keep Lepi in yellow...? Be intresting see if Disco and Armstrong are on the front foot today....?

* UPDATE *

The seven men's days are numbered I reckon... the lead has dropped to 2'40"... so arduous is the challenge in hand that certain riders have been dropped by the peloton, including Sylvain Chavanel and Andreas Klöden !

Roberto Heras (Liberty Seguros) has been dropped by the peloton, while ristophe Moreau has been pegged back.

15:35 Just three men in front now: Gutierrez, Jaksche and Zaballa. They have 1'50" over the bunch. Elia Rigotto, along with the other three already dropped, have been swept back up by the peloton.

15:34 Christophe Moreau attacks from the peloton! Rabobank lead the charge to try and peg him back...

15:33 Daniel Becke, Nicolas Vogondy and Devis Miorin have been dropped by the leaders.

15:31 INFO: None of the leading seven men are a serious threat to the overall classification. The highest place rider is Phonak's José Gutierrez who is 21st at 2'57". But with the gap reducing fast, that should not be an issue today.
