Please continue the updates: I can't access the Eurosport site because a gambling pop-up is denying me access (web filter at work).

Thanks to all of you!

Vinokourov and Gomez-Marchante have Van Huffel in their sights... he's just ten seconds away. Vino looks good. This stage has his name written all over it.

16:07 Leipheimer has just been dropped by Vinokourov and Gomez-Marchante. Van Huffel's lead is down to 18 seconds.

16:06 LATEST: Leipheimer, Vinokourov, Gomez-Marchante are 30' behind Van Huffel. Armstrong has been distanced again and, along with Landis, Moncoutié and Kashechkin, rides a further ten seconds back. Yo yo, eh?

Van Huffel has been distanced!! It's one from Vinokourov and Gomez-Marchante now. The chasers will not stand a chance to catch them - they are now 27 seconds back...

0 km </IMG> Vinokourov wins atop the Ventoux!!! What an achievement for the powerful climber, showing his Tour de France credentials with aplomb!

Levi Leipheimer has conserved his leader's yellow/blue jersey while Vino has taken the polka dot mountains jersey! We still have no news of Santiago Botero though, which is strange. The Columbian was confident ahead of today's stage, but his name was just not mentioned over the radio updates... Bizarre. Will keep you informed.

Armstrong at 1.06"

Ahhhh Vino-now I'm excited about the TDF-and quite a gap for Lance-I don't care if he wins or loses but I want him to have to fight like hell either way! Whether his tactics up til now have been psychological play or not, I'm sure he wanted to win the Ventoux.

The official site has not given any time gaps.

WTBOY, where did you get Armstrong at over a minute?
did he finish with Levi and FLoyd etc?

It was on the EuroSport site but they often get the names and times wrong so don’t pay much credence to it..... lets wait for the official result ! Very exciting day out on Ventoux !
