Yes. I had to spend some time analyzing the benefits and consequences of a variable power pacing strategy, but I am absolutely convinced now. It's just not so simple to implement. It's sort of funny, because now that I think of it, VP pacing is what I did years ago without the benefit of any computer at all. Basically, I just tried to avoid losing too much bike speed uphill and upwind. This is the essence of variable power pacing -- avoid losing bike speed.
