Vino should win this but no damage will be done to LA.

Props to Vino he has worked hard for his 3mins and 5000 Euro's.

Vino is now 3min 5secs gap on peloton.
Botero still swinging between Vino and the peloton.
Kloden is at the back of the peloton.

Vino is 4.5kms from the summit of the Galibier.

Damage is done every day in the mountains. Lance is human too!

Armstrong is looking around quite a bit : he's Valverde, Ullrich, Landis, Totschnig
on his shoulder.
Rasmussen is there as well.

They don't seem to be putting time in to Vino.

Kloden has been dropped!
Who's next to crack?

Just wondering is it worth Disco chasing down Vino & men in between?
Does having them up front help inhibit attacks?

I think that Vino is pretty good on the downhills. Not as good as someone like Savoldelli, but...

Let's keep on topic, Lim. We're talkling about stage 11 of the 2005 Tour de France. If you want to discuss LA in 1993-1996, you should probably start another post.

The descent is on.
Vino is away down the mountain.
Botero is sprinting down the mountain in pursuit.

40kms : can they stay away and get the win ?

Rasmussen looked very very comfortable on the Galibier : as did Valverde, Mancebo, Basso, Ullrich.

DC don't look like they'll reel in Vino and Botero at this stage.

If Vino wins this stage, it will be a superb performance : he was in the group first over the Madeleine, Telegraph and the Galibier.
Like Pete says it does remind one of Chiappuci.
