Hincapie pulled away with 1km left on the Galibier. Can't identify who is with LA : three DC riders anyhow. Botero and Vino are together now and pedalling as fast as possible. |

He may have 1st place on his mind. He looks real comfortable in the mountains all he needs is a good ITT and he is close. |

Mayo has just summited - 16 minutes back on Vino.
Bodies all over the Galibier : Heras, Beloki, Garzelli. Vino and Botero still pedalling away. Popoyvch is working hard on the front for LA and the other DC riders. Ullrich, Landis, three CSC riders, Valverde, Basso, Mancebo are all in the peloton. |

I think the odds of him having a good TT are way out there. |

Only one other Mobile rider with JU : looks like Sevilla or possibly Guerini. But it's a flat run in. Time gap is 2mins 40secs. |

you're right : Guerini. Kloden latched back on to the peloton (he was off the back at the summit of the Galibier) |

Great ride today by Vino and Botero. A bit of redemption for Vino, especially, after yesterday's bonk.

Gap 1min 50secs : 4kms to go : it's down to Vino and Botero.
What a great stage for them both : they've been away for the past 5 hours : fantastic cycling. Shame that one of them will finish 2nd. |

The word "bonk." That is why the tour is never over until the last TT or major climb..... |

Vino wins @ 1min 17 over Mooreau in 3rd spot.
Throw in the 20secs bonus and Vino has recouped 1min 37secs on GC. great, great win for Vino. Well done Botero too. |

Sure, nice win, but will it change things much? None of the other big boys attempted to attack Discovery. Looks like a repeat of the last few years, everyone is happy to race for second.
Am actually a bit disappointed in people like Basso and Rasmussen. If they do not try to break things up on a day like this... Just waiting for next year?
