I live in capital hill and am always looking for people to ride with. This is the first time I have used this service so I am not sure how I get your contact info.

I'm in Gaithersburg, MD (Shady Grove on the red line). Georgetown and Northern VA are pretty close.

I live in Old Town Alexandria, right next to Braddock Rd metro station. I ride on the Mt Vernon along the potomac all the time. Wouldnt mind getting into the city now and then either. Anyone ever do the Mt Vernon in Nova?

I'm moving to Stafford, apparently by the end of the year, but I don't have a firm date yet.

Well, it looks like we're tossing Stafford. I've found comprably priced property in Manassas and Bristow, which is way closer to work.

Does anyone know of any serious, regular group rides in those areas?

Evolution Cycling has some serious stuff going on, but I've never ridden with them since you have to pay a monthly fee to stay a member. Let me know if you find anything else.

For NVA riders, there are training rides during the week.

1. Tue and Thu evening rides, start from Wakefield Park (on Braddock Rd), avg speed 19-22 mph, dist: 25 miles, terrain: rolling hills, lots of turns (even u turn), perfect training for Crit. check out the potomac pedaller club for more info

2. Tue and Thu eveninig rides in Reston and Herdon. Check out the Reston bike club for more info

For weekend, join the biggest group ride (100+ riders) in DC area: the Bicycle Place Sunday ride. Start from Bicycle Place bike shop in MD ,(right next to Rock Creek park) at 8:30, avg: 20-22, distance 35-45. Check out the shop website for more info. bicycleplace.com
