Remember that the last time trial in the 2003 Tour de France had a very significant tailwind. All the riders were riding fast with it. That's why it is tough to compare these different races on the basis of time alone. Consider also that the courses are different too--how many curves there are and how sharp, how much gravel is in the road or ruts or bumps. But this is why we have these discusssions, I suppose.

I am going to keep an eye on this Millar character you mention. It sounds like he may be a champion in the making.

Keep an eye on him???? He's the World TT Champion mate!!

I wish my knowledge of the tour went back more than a few years but how can you go past Hamilton last year.
