You hit on a good point - it is important to evaluate politicians performances on an objective basis as opposed to a party political-allegiance basis.

Many of those who voted for the Iraq invasion, the sham 9/11 Commission, "Patriot" Act, gutting of the tax base through corporate welfare & giveaways, the enormous national debt, ad infinitum/ad nauseum...are Dems. This includes Clinton for instigating the NAFTA and GATT treaties, among other things.
