I thought it was about the Wizard of Oz and the Cowardly Lion but eyes are getting worse as of late.

Well yeah...that was the play on words I intended, because it fits the cowardice displayed by Bush & Cheney. I thought that would have been kind of...obvious.

Rumsfeld has got to be the Tin-Man.

This is the flimsiest of all your attacks on Bush etc.

Dodging the draft, chucking grenades in gung-ho superiors tents, refusing orders, all of these things are noble and honourable acts.

It is not the case that "someonme else will just fill the spot" as there was a systemic shortage of army recruits. You can argue that going and joining the army to forment opposition (as in the case of the SWP) is admirable and even braver and more effective than draft dodging, but i don't think this is what Kerry had in mind.

If the war is wrong, you do what you need to to stop it. By any means necessary.

It seems alot of the US left is pretty soft on the dems. Kerry is a pro-imperialist. He supports the US empire. He just has different ideas about how to consolidate it.

Same with Hillary. She is scum. I hope she gets run over by a bus.

Facts:

1. Bush and Cheney are both cowards that lied repeatedly about their lack of military service.

2. Given their cowardice and dishonesty, neither Bush nor Cheney have any moral authority to send US forces to war.

3. Neither Bush nor Cheney has earned the right to cast aspersions on Kerry or any other honorable war veteran.

In Bush's case, he was a deserter during wartime and could have/should have gotten the death penalty under military regulations.

Although it does show how the US is such a class divided society, and shows that the neo cons know war is hell, they just want poor kids to die not their buddies.

"NBC Projection: Democrats Seize Control of House
Rough night for GOP, which gives up control for 1st time in 12 years"
WASHINGTON - Democrats are set to take control of the House of Representatives, according to projections by NBC News.

Two years after a decisive election victory for Bush and his Republicans, Democrats picked up the 15 seats they needed to recapture control of the 435-seat House for the first time since 1994, according to the network.

“I think it's critical Democrats focus not on payback, but on progress,” Sen. Barack Obama, a Democrat, told NBC News' Brian Williams as news of the Republican losses emerged through the night.

I don't agree w/ this last part. I believe a couple of subpoena's are in order

Scandal took its undeniable toll on the Republicans. Democrat Zack Space won the race to succeed Bob Ney, who pleaded guilty to corruption this fall in the Jack Abramoff scandal. Republican Rep. John Sweeney (news, bio, voting record) lost his seat in New York several days after reports that he had roughed up his wife — an allegation she denied. Republicans also lost the seat that Rep. Mark Foley (news, bio, voting record) had held. He resigned on Sept. 29 after being confronted with sexually explicit computer messages he had written to teenage pages.

Rep. Don Sherwood (news, bio, voting record) lost despite apologizing to the voters for a long-term affair with a much younger woman; and Rep. Curt Weldon (news, bio, voting record), also from Pennsylvania, was denied a new term after he became embroiled in a corruption investigation.

We are into day 2 of wurm's promise to not post ...... The bet was that Iran would be invaded before the elections. They have not been. So we see that wurm so far is not a man of his word.
