I am glad to see Saul get back to competitive riding.
Maybe I will get to see Saul at his charity ride next weekend.

Than say hello to Saul. I will be at the Criterium International but will ask some of his team mates.

Doesn't he have some sort of siezure problem? Risking another serious concussion seems very risky.

It's great to see Saul return to racing and kudos for taking part in the book someone wrote about his hip... wait, that was Lance...or, was that Floyd?

Anyone in the south east that desires to do the Saul Raisin chairty ride on Saturday in Dalton, Georgia, I have gps course files available for the ride on Motionbased. From the link you can download to a Garmin Edge 205/305 or possibly convert to a different file type.

Disclaimer: This is NOT an official file created by the organizers. I created the file using the organized ride map posted on the charity website.

Cool, I mailed it to Saul.

Thanks

I don't know Saul so more than likely I will only see him from a distance if at all.

Maybe others will find it useful and I sure hope I got it accurate otherwise there will be some people going off track. I am pretty confident since the mapping program that I used is detailed and the route seemed simple.

I am looking forward to the ride because I have never done the climb up Ft. Mountain and with an additional obstacle this is allergy season in Georgia and I am getting a good dose of it now, which is restricting my breathing. None the less I am really anticipating this ride with my group. I hope there will be a good turn out for the ride and some decent donations to help the cause.

We'll all get a good dose of the yellow stuff on the climb, but hopefully it will be cooler on Saturday.

Despite suffering from a respitory infection at the moment, the ride and the day turned out well and I enjoyed doing the 6 mile climb to the top of Ft. Moutain.

I am not sure how many people did the ride, but those who volunteered are greatly appreciated. From the police that had busy roadways blocked to those working at the sag stops, registration and serving food at the end.

I did meet Saul while I was waiting at the port-a-john before the start. He came up shook our hands and said, "this is a great day for a ride. I hope you enjoy." He seemed like a very nice guy and I hope this was a successful fund raiser. I also hope it will become an annual event.

My ride data wasn't as good as I had hoped, but for not feeling well I suppose it will do.

What a great day for the ride. The temp was perfect and the crowd was great to ride with. I had a screamer on the decent. I like the lead up to the climb much better on this route than some of the others rides I have done up there.

Saul is such a nice kid and even sat in the pack chatting with everyone.

BTW - I hope Saul washed his hands on the way out of the john

You were in the lead group then?
I could see Saul, but I was at the back of that group.
