I can't remember a party that stands out as the best. However I definitely recall the best "What Could've Been" party. I was 13 and had my 15 minutes of fame at school when I won an interschool track race. Anyway, we're at this after-event party and the most idolized girl at school (she was a bit like "Regina" from "Mean Girls" except sexier) told me that she wanted to take me upstairs and do things to me that sounded quite scary to a young virginal adolescent. Anyway, I could say that my excuse was that I was interested in someone else, which was true (though we were at the smile and giggle stage of our deep relationship) - but the real truth is I ran away.

I still get spasms when I recall the missed opportunity that stared me in the face that night. She even made it worse by describing everything in detail before I ran.

That's an interesting story....

The best party I ever went to was a beer-tasting party. Lest I sound like an alcoholic, we were only tasting the beer, not guzzling it.

Anyway, the theme of it is what made it cool. The hosts sent out invitations and when you called to RSVP, they assigned you a 6 pack of foreign or micro-brewed beer to bring. The later you waited to RSVP, the harder to find, or the more expensive your assignment would be.

At the party, they had baby pools filled with ice and everybody put in what they brought, and then you could try whatever you wanted. They had score cards and stuff, though I don't remember any judging, lol. It was really fun, and you could try expensive beers without buying a bunch of them. Became an annual event, with live bands and tshirts and stuff after a couple of years.

Those people got divorced though, so then the party ended.
