This happened the year before Sputnik, so technically, and if true, it would make a slightly radioactive and warped manhole cover the first man-made object in space (it is supposedly near Pluto by now). Wouldn't it be awesome to have the Mythbusters check that one out? |

I somehow get the feeling that cyclingcyclone is having fun baiting us here, and everytime someone responds vehemently on how s/he would never see this show, he is laughing his @$$ off.
