Contador, Leipheimer, and Kloden will finish 1-2-3 at the Tour, after winning all of the major mountain stages and the time trials, which Leipheimer will win by a collective 7 minutes. But some solace will be had by fans in watching them squirm on the final podium as they realize how foolish they look. Caisse riders will take the next 4 spots.

I think Astana has the three best chances. Evans has a shot but his team isn't strong enough. The loss of Horner and addition of Popovych makes them no better than last year. Astana, however, is better than Discovery was last year.

To make things interesting I will go on the theory that Astana never reaches the starting line.

Evans will still find a way not to win.

It will be Cunego.

Bro...I like your "out of the box" thinking there, but Cunego? Just for the sake of starting an argument (and I realise I'm David, your Goliath), Cunego's a Ca-no-go.

I appreciate that in these day's of smuggled blood-bags, a world class TT'er can emerge overnight, but IMHO, Damiano is not going to be able to make up in the hills, the time he's going to lose in the flat TT's.

It is a bit of a long shot, but my thinking is that Cunego has said he will target the Tour next year. There are fewer time trial kilometers than usual, and Cunego has shown some ability in that area during the last two seasons. The route next year is very interesting. It looks like some stages could get a little crazy and favor a man who can handle himself in a one day race; riders who cannot may lose time.

Not in America are there other races outside of the TDF. We've heard about them but no one has ever seen one so the jury's still out on their existence. At DPF they're considered a rumor and therefore forbidden from discussion.
