If Trek wants to be that cynical, screw 'em, I'll buy a BMC instead. At least they had the decency to make a show of disgust with being associated with dopers instead of being eager to work with them.

I used to have favorites, but these days, when it comes to cycling, I try to support those who I think are trying to do the right thing. And so, yeah, my "team" ain't nearly as bad as Bruyneel's.
Good point Leafer and well made. Yours too Bro. Its one thing to sponsor a team and then to be humiliated when you find out that they're dopers. It is another to decide to initiate an endorsement after it is obvious.

However, there will be enough middle-aged Joe Blows around who want to buy Madones, who won't be aware of Bruyneels "behind-the-spin" methods, and will be happy with Astana's results. Doesn't mean that those who know the truth, and that Trek knows what is really going on, have to reward this sleazy, greedy, blow to clean-team cycling, cynical endorsement move.

You have brought-on the Wrath of Mini-Bro.

Very little of this statement is correct. Did you read the report?

If you and your kangaroo court want to boycott any product used by a discredited doper, then be careful, you may be out of equipment soon.

As for holding anyone accountable, the only way to do that is to remove the $$$ from the equation. That means give up the sport as you know it today. Give up your magazines, your expensive knock-off team kits, your enhanced technology, this forum and the ability to see any major tour coverage through mass media. As long as we live in a pay for play world and we have discretionary income that can be used to avail ourselves of this "entertainment" there will always be human beings looking to game the system.

I for one have another reason today to stay away from Major League Baseball and put my discretionary entertainment dollars to use somewhere else, like buying a new Madone in Astana blue, assuming it comes with an IV port
Trek doesn't care about truth. I emailed them in 2002 when Rebellin was riding his own bike labelled with outdated Klein decals. After this came to light, Trek's PR person named Connie came out and said that it was a Klein protoype. I called them on it and Connie called me personally and admitted that it was not a prototype and her statement was not true. I suggested that she withdraw it. She refused.

So, don't believe a word that Trek says. They make a perfect fit with Bruyneel. It is all spin.

Slipstream re-signed with Felt before trek even had a chance if I re-call?
