Let's start an anti-Basso club. What's the opposite of tifosi? We could be his anti-tifosi.

Fantastic. Public shaming and humiliation might work much better than a suspension- which is essentially a private punishment and is generally soon forgotten. It might bring some bad short term publicity if some ex-doper won a big race wearing the jersey but ye gods, can the PR be any worse than it is now. Longer term, it might really inhibit the desire to cheat and have a really positive effect.
Smart idea, which obviously means that the wretched UCI would never consider it.

Maybe Armstrong can come back into the sport as their DS.

He's gonna need those bags of blood for transfusing when we've finished with him!

Cipo's going to undertake some management duties too according to the article. Armstrong's too busy farking teenagers and running the world. Just having Cipo ride in the team car would be worth it for publicitiy generated. Not sure how much he's been on the bike since retiring? Will he have any form at all? Do they do any dope testing at US races?

On topic: Let's hope Basso does join this team cos they won't get any Giro/Tour invites this year or likely next.

Reminds me of Tinkoff last year. Honestly, I give a rats patooty. I'll probably go check out the Tour of Calif., now.

They got caught. It's not like everyone else wasn't doing the exact same thing.

They don't test in most US races... vast majority of US races.

Supposedly he looked pretty fit at the Vegas crit October, where he crashed out.

I don't mind guys racing again when they have served their time. I don't respect them as men when they have lied and set up their "truth" funds to fleece money out of fans. Cycling is something of a soap opera at times and these characters are the JR Ewings we can stand at the roadside and berate.

That should suit the team's "ethical policy".

True. But when all the teams are going one way and Rock is going the other, I don't think their plans to become a ProTour level team will pan out.

Signing Cipo has got to be a big win for a team sponsored by a fashion company. Smart move by Ball.
