I mean, what farking bull. If he wasn't blood doping when he won the Giro then I'm Gloria Farking Estefan. Simoni deserves our support. He is standing up against the ET of dopers.

Agreed.

The Italian Federation has been sending mixed messages about Basso, from what I hear.
Some in the Federation thought that he should be give a dispensation, according to what I've been told.
Unless there is continuity across all federations in respect of bans, these kind of issues will continue to happen.

The answer isn't amnesties for individuals it's to put pressure on the Spanish federation to act on the Spanish dopers. If Basso is such an all-confessing prodigal son then why can't Jorge Jaksche get a team? He confessed all and the omerta that's alleged to have gone is keeping him out of work.

We should remember Basso only admitted to "attempted doping" and not doping. We all saw him smash the field in the 2006 Giro - it was just silly. Lets not get all gooey eyed about Basso. He's a cheat plain and simple and if OP never broke he would have won 15 Tour de Frances by now - yes only two run since the 2006 Giro but he would have lapped the field 27 times making it 15. The sport is sick but getting better without the likes of Basso in the peleton.

Many in the world have gotten away with the act of murder that doesn't mean we should open up our jails and let out all other murders, rapists and pedeos !

Agreed. As for Ullrich he's the same. Justice not done ? Huh ? He took wins away from clean riders, he forced cleaned riders to ride out of their skins just to hang on, he took prize money and sponsorship away from clean riders and he duped 1000's of fans. What ? justice not done.... ? All of this was done with the fact that Jan has tremendous talent, would eat him self into obesity in the off-season and used drugs to get himself into race shape.... no respect for the sport and for sport itself.

I don't ever recall cyclingheroes pimping goods on CF or DP.

EDIT: Actually the thread was on Basso's two year ban with reduction stuff put at the end.

It was deleted because my signature was the same as here on CF. They said that because people could buy pictures on CH it was an advertisement site....
Of course they were glad they could publish some pictures that I made for free, like here: http://www.dailypeloton.com/displayarticle.asp?pk=10509

But after they decided that I had to delete my DF Forum signature I stopped the cooperation with DP for free pictures and future videos for the DP site and changed my signature in: "Many have eyes but cannot see."

But... now back to the topic...

I didn't want to complain about DP, just wanted to explain why it was deleted. DP changed its signature policy, they have the right to do so. I have the right not to deliver free pics anymore and that was my response to DP. No hard feelings from my side.

I think Vaughn just screwed up, he is pretty reasonable.

I think it is partly because the foxes have control of the forum, and they have created anarachy and capricious implementation of forum regulations. And they do not authorise your posts, then Vaughn steps in and confirms that, without realising you provided content before, so the quid pro quo is broken then and there. Vaughn is not stupid.

Something went awry either his memory, which I assume, or his rigid policy and dogmatic interpretation of the rules. Not really out there to gauge revenue from the DP.

I'm 200% in your corner heroes, but I am mates with Vaughn and will continue to be, even though I get a chuckle at some of the stuff Bro and Helmut give him. Very funny somethimes even when it borders on malicious. But then I am the king of malicious. I built the trolls on House into a vertiable marquee franchise

Not to quibble as you are one of my favorite writers here, but in the interest of word conservation, shouldn't that be DP toolometer?

Sure, it's in the dictionary:

tool [t-ool, spi-] Pronunciation Key
–noun
an unwilling person used like an instrument by others; or used solely for the amusement of others. [example: Vaughn is a DP tool; Look, Helmut is working _yojimbo like a tool; don't be a tool;]
