Ah, you have been paying attention to these things; I (clearly) have not. As I say, I'm happy to admit my ignorance. I'm also glad that others out there know about this stuff and write about it. PS. Dammit, so you mean that stuff about storks is ... Oh no, say it ain't so, Joe! |

I thought these guys were 20 (just turned 20 in Jan). Seemed odd that they've been 18 in all the articles that I've read about them in the last two years LOL! Good luck to them...next stop Europe.

Impressive by Howard, just turned 18 in October/November. When Howard is more a sprinter than a pursuiter, even with his matching of Mcgee's WR in the jnr 3km. I think Howard will be one of the strongest teams pursuiters with his capacities. Perhaps too young to take him to Beijing. |

Then there's Cam Meyer in the Points, anyone from O'Grady, Brown, Davis, Cam Meyer for the madison. Maybe Brownie for the scratch race?....

nup, no way. They need a pick up rider (lead off) and Mckenzie rates Brown the best in the world in that position, even if he falls off the pace in the last km. So, unless they fill that position with Dawson, or Lancaster, someone explosive with strength to last, I see the same 4 who took the gold in Athens. Renshaw outside outside chance. I wonder what Howard could do in the pick up position. I always though Kersten should try to take that spot off Brown. It is a specialised position. Kersten talked about riding the teams after they took the kilo off the program. I think that would be BK's best shot at winning gold. |

I think Brown will have better strength and might even be able to ride 4kms in the teams pursuit at Beijing in the final. It will be tough. I think it is 3 rounds. Qualies, semi, and final. I think they will have to go all out in all 3 rides, because they have to ride off in the semi as either 1 or 2 seed, so they do not see UK in the semi final. So, Mcgee might be rested for the first round, but it will be the A team in semis and the final. Goss might also be in the team. I think Goss might ride a scratch tho, or a points. |

1 Rohan Dennis (SA) 3.18.701
What about that time for the 3000m final? Went quicker in the final that qualification. Impressive time. |

holy shit. That is about Fords wr. Better then Mcgee. BUT. About 1.5 to 3 seconds slower than Phinney at Beijing thru 3km. Phinney is 6'4" and was prolly shaving at 12. But lets not underrate Phinney. I think there are two more brothers in the jnrs. I dont think they are u18 yet though. they were dominating u16 and u14 last year. Not Dennis tho. I think there might be two guys with names like Dennis also, but not brothers, like Kemps/Kemp, Davis/Davidson, Clarke/Clarke etc etc. |

oh, and Jonno, unless Lancaster has lost some power and strength on the track, Lancaster is probably the strongest rider in the teams, stronger than even Mcgee, with his max power for the one, or 1.5-2 lap distance, and strong turns in the last km. |
