That's true, Slipsteam is hailed as the "New American clean Team", yet they have a British convicted doper owning/captaining the team..
I'm all for second chances, everyone deserves one, IMO. But to rant about about a clean team ala Slipstream when both owners have doped in the past is just ridiculous.
But the press clearly bought it, and Millar talking in the press conference how RR should play by the rules and leave the doped(?innocent until proven guilty, not convicted like I was) athletes out of the race just made me mad. How can he, of all people, say something like that??? He played the system, he knows how it works...

"I would follow JB to whatever team he went to and the fact that he took a core group of Disco riders and staff sealed the deal. And to repeat what others have said, these guys plus the stong riders who remained at Astana (Kloden, Colom, etc) and adding Horner will make this one of the strongest teams in any race they enter. This being said I don't think Disco Fan=Astana Fan. That statement suggests a herd mentality, I chose to follow JB to Astana but I will also support others teams where Disco riders have transferred. He took the core staff too, eh? And they're a 'clean team'? What a joke these so called 'fans' are - Bruyneel a 'cycling genius'? The Hog's only genius is using the best doctor's so his riders don't get caught. His tactics have never been up to much - the only 'tactic' is buy up any rider whose a threat in the mountains and employ the best dope doctors.

That's a bit unfair. He was very helpful to USPS in the mountains with his constant "Go Floyd!!... Go Floyd!!" chants on the race radio. Not many DS' would have experience and wherewithall to dream up that stragety... .

And in the TT's he was able to bend that laterally to Lance with chants of "Go Lance!!... Go Lance!!... Keep going Lance!!".

His role was irreplaceable...
