yeah, but I dont see Sastre getting 5 minutes in a stage.

Evans was the best climber besides Rass and Contador, and the best tter last year.

So who beats him in both?

Sastre is a better climber but perhaps not a better Tour climber all three weeks. Cunego might be, we have not seen him peak for the Tour.

I agree. Evans has got to be the favorite unless a Cunego or Schleck ups their game.

Rogers is a strong chance.

Rogers, Kirchen, Gerdemenn, Hincapie and add on their Loqvist or Pinotti.

Rogers can make the podium.

Cant win yet. He knows that. Even with the Astana guys.

Lets see Sandy Casar tackle GC. I reckon top 10 easy.

I Agree. He know now Contador riding Vuelta. He will re-change plans from Vuelta to Tour with all Rabobank. Other Russian, Karpez may podioum.

Well I guess we know that Gerdemenn may be clean. At least you would hope he is the way he went on last year, but then teammates get caught doping so who knows. He is a bit young though for GC. What about Valverde or Pop?

Gerdie is a good call. We will see if Valverde even starts at the Tour. No one will risk this if the Italian investigation into Puerto is still ongoing (remember the TdF stops off in Italy this year... it would be very bad PR to have Valverde escorted away from his hotel by several Carabinieri).

This is roughly the team High Road will take now that the Giro is out of calculation.

Rogers
Kirchen
Gerdemenn
Hincapie
Pinotti
Loqvist
Burghardt
Eisel
Cavendish

That's huge support for Rogers. If they bring another sprinter, they take out Pinotti or Lonqvist and bring in Greipel or Ciolek but i believe they take that team in as Eisel and Burghardt will be good lead out men for Cavendish in the first week.

Kirchen made top 10 last year
Gerdemenn is good talent
Hincapie is a good help
Pinotti can climb
Lonqvist can climb
Burghardt a good domestique
Eisel helping Cavendish.

nope Cav is not going, Greipel will.

Cav is focussing on Beijing.

And anyway, the number one sprinting position is yet to be determined at High Road. I would expect one of the three, Greipel, Cav and Ciolek, to move on next year.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if he was going to ride the first week or not or focus on Beijing.

A doctor wins the Tour.

Someone who rolls the dice. So is everyone in agreement Landis rolled the dice bigtime in 06 and upped his program?

Hopefully all the front runners will get caught doping again... and even more stringent rules will be in place, the ASO and TdF can handle a few more years of disaster.
