I think Boonen might have the form, the team, and the tolerance for the weather.

Does anyone know of any free online live video feeds for North America? Otherwise, it's paying for cycling.tv.

Thanks!

No O'Grady on the start list (according to cyclingnews.com). Anyone know what the go is there? Thought he'd be a handy man for Cancellara to have working for him.

its snowing in London which is unheard of for April. So I would suggest Belguim is going to be worse...... that being the case the course is going to be a nightmare......

The main area of snow is largely stuck across the far south-east of England at the moment. Some wintry showers are likely across Belgium today but i think they will miss the worst of the weather (at least the route will as it ends up in eastern Belgium i think).

...although of course just the cobbles being wet is enough of a challenge...

Yes, there was a period of wintry mixed precipitation. But they seem to be out of it now on dry roads. There have been a few nasty crashes though. At one point, there was a platform structure on the right side of the road, and one of the riders somehow went straight at it. The front wheel flew off the bike and was tacoed; the rest of the bike flew in another direction. Don't know how badly the rider was hurt.

So Stijn Devolden of Quickstep wins, with Nick Nuyens in second place! I didn't see Boonen or Cancellara in the top ten.

those guys are above sprinting for places in the top 10 though.

If a podium place is on the line, they will shift it into the 51x12. Otherwise not interested.

The CSC website indicated that Stuey is riding in a support role for Fabian both at Flanders and Paris-Roubaix. He is still not completely back from that nasty crash at the Tour last year.

I was also suprised to not see Fabian as the first CSC rider across. It's Arveson instead.

I will enjoy watching it on Versus, in replay, this afternoon.

Quite a solo ride from Devolder! I was happy to see him win in front of his "home crowd". This is my favourite way of winning: solo for the last 5-20Ks with the bunch chasing.

Boonen did look strong on the climbs though so I'm a bit dissapointed he just sat back and watched the show. Some nice riding from the Astana rider in the last 20Ks (Vaitkus/Rast? Even the commentators had a problem deciding )

What a fantastic race! Devolder rode almost like a super-man, great victory for him, the kamikaze!

QS really beat CSC today...

Anthony talking about Vaitkus all the time was very annoying since we all could see that it was not Vaitkus. Apparently it was Rast, great ride from him.

Rabo was impressive too today, they have some serious talents in that squad!!

BTW, here is a video of the crash I talked about in my previous post: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QTAJnDduVA. The rider is Ángel Gómez, and apparently broke his leg and elbow/shoulder. Scary crash.
