I have 6 bmx, 2 mtn, and 7 road bikes.
I occasionally give the bmx bikes a spin to have fun doing flatland freestyle tricks. Back in HS in the 80’s I was heavily into bmx Freestyle. Used to do maybe 28 mile city adventure rides in them. Then I bought a Pacific mtn bike. I use it now as a backup winter shopping bike. My Cannondale F600 was a mistake, hardly ride this mtn bike, but now in the future I’m gonna strap on a bike engine to it and use it as a moped. I now temp work in Houston, and 4 of my road bikes are in Chicago not being used. My main workout bike – 05 Kestrel Talon. I have my CF Cervelo Soloist with me but don’t use it mainly because the crappy ergomo computer broke. For long distance rides and travel shopping I use my 2007 Trek Pilot 2.1 Spa with Jannd Panniers, Polar Power, and ceramic Ksyrium Sls. The road bike I least ride – 2002 Giant Tcr Aero 2. My oldest, not inspiring to ride anymore but good to use as a cheap bike to workout in bad areas, like Humbolt Park Chicago – where they’ll jump you for drug money. Oh, maybe I need lube because I get soo excited ! …. |

See, I told you guys what this would cause.
And leave the good old Italian Lira out of this. We built an economy on its devaluation. Joined the Euro, and now look what happens. ![]()

Much of my Han Soloist is used, but I put this 'rocket' together for ~$3800 AUS, which is some effort, if you you know anything about Aus bike prices ![]() ![]() |

The hardest part about riding multiple bikes is finding enough saddles that suit you arse!!
I've only got 4 seats that I like, so I sometimes pull the whole seat and seatpost out of one bike to ride another!! ![]() |

I got the wheels 2nd hand off a racing buddy for $750. The levers and cassette are 9-speed, so I saved a few bucks there. Apart from the frame, the only other things new on the bike are the pedals, rear derailleur, stem, cassette and chain. |
