Yes, he was Team Leader at T-Mobile. He will not be team leader at the Tour at Columbia, imho. The ghost of Sinkewitz lies between those two things - who was in the convoy to Freiburg?

Sinkewitz can sink a few of them. He had some choice things to say about Gerdemann, too, but stopped short of specifics. But Sink was a teammate of Rogers right through with both Lefevere and T-mobile. He knows everything, and Aldag knows he knows everything, and so does Stapleton.

It's the only reason I can think of that Rogers was left out of the team by a management decision.

and that was right ofcourse, and they banned me on SBS for saying that shit

Can somebody explain to me what Rogers has done to be considered a bona fide Tour contender.

He won three world champs at ITT and almost won the Tour de Suisse - beating Ullrich, but losing to a supercharged Gonzales on the final afternoon.

He's won a few other races of note, but I can't remember them. Oh, and top tenned in the Tour as a domestique. I would have put him on the same level as Popovych and Kirchen. Not a likely winner, but a good chance at top five.

He won three world time trial titles (after the real winners were DQed) and he has never been able to bring his time trialing ability to a GT or a multi-day race. To add to that, he is a second tier climber. How he will win the TdF, I'm not sure.

Tour of Belgium, Tour of Germany, Route du Sud as a 23yo IIRC
