Fellow cycling fans,
In the last month, we (a couple of Belgian students) have been developing Wielerprono.be . Our website has been online for over a week in dutch, but we decided to translate it into Enlgish and French too, to make it possible for all international cycling-fans to enter our FREE online pronostication game! Therefore, we are placing our link here, for 2 reasons! 1) We would like you, native speakers, to check our translation! We are not native english speakers, and so there is a big chance that there are flaws in our translation. Names of races, small words, typical errors... We have no idea wether our translation is good or not. So we would LOVE to see it reviewed by people with better English skills than us ![]() 2) We would love to get participants from all over the world. Our game will go on after the first part of the world cup with the tour de france, and with latter stages of the world cup. So the more international out participants are, the more fun we will have with the game... It would be great to see a lot of foreign competitors! (maybe they'll have a different view on cycling?) Anyhow, the link is www.wielerprono.be , and feedback is allways welcome! Thanks in advance for your interest, or even help! Jinx & Crombates www.wielerprono.be |

Not sure anyone ever says "pronostication" in English, but I guess that's to fit in with the name of the site in Dutch. We'd usually call it 'fantasy cycling' or 'classics prediction' or something. Otherwise the site is nicely designed and the English is better than I could manage :-)

Yeah,
It's middle english. Very old word. It would be prognostication now if it was used(i'm sure someone uses it, but probably not in Texas, ROFL!!). Was never on my spelling list for sure ![]() |

The only time I heard that word was in a play in school written by the Irish playwrite Sean O'Casey! I think it was "Juno and the Paycock" and this dude called Joxer was in it complaing about the procrastinators and prognosticators.... I still dont have a clue what they are though???

For the bookies Frank Vandenbroucke is the favorite for the 'Omloop Het Volk'(Race 1.1, saturday 28 feb.) with Peter Van Petegem, Johan Museeuw, Tom Boonen ....
A betting is certainly a advantageous piece of information for a game as 'wielerprono' !
