There are a range of stages available, but, due to the size, I think you need to buy the DVD from TACXlyot said:hey
I read somewhere that it's already possible with I Magic to do look at real video footage while riding on your training..FOr instance, you can do Alpe D'Huez.. Does anyone have this already ?

Do you think you get accurate power measurement results from this trainer?
The computrainer is discontinued -- is that right? So my only choice to get for a trainer of this type is the I Magic?

I believe there is an upgrade unit for the (grand) excel. The roller / brake unit at the rear is the same design as far as I know.smnw10 said:I have the Excel which is really nice and not bad on price, the Grand Excel you can hook up to your computer and get graphs etc of your progress and as far as I know that one is still available. But if you want a Virtual Reality trainer then the I Magic is the only one I know of.
If you cycle on extremely smoooooth roads, you'll be at home on this trainer! The transition in braking as you change gradient is very smooth.JTE83 said:What kind of biking feeling do you get from using this trainer ? Does it give a road like feel ? I know that I have a turbo trainer for Xmas and was thinking of getting TDF to train in front of but these sound good. While I doubt that I have the Imagic trainer for Xmas do you know if it is possible to just simply watch the DVD. I know I would not get the feature of resistance due to the connectivity with Tck gear but just having a ride up the Alps would be awesome with my resistance crancked right up!!jon_stewart said:There are a range of stages available, but, due to the size, I think you need to buy the DVD from TACX
try http://www.tacx.com or
http://www.i-rides.com
I'd need a triple before trying the Alpe d'Huez! I have an I-magic, but not the legs or cardiovascular system!
EvitomoCol said:I have the i-Magic. I've heard (well seen really) lots of threads on the video add-ons available. This really gets me angry - because all we get is 'WOOLY INFORMATION' about where they are available from - please ignore any idiot who says "Try the Tacx website" - they aren't available there.
Sounds good though doesn't it? Shame it's all a bit badly handled by Tacx themselves.
EvitomoCol said:Is this compatible with my i-Magic then? And if so, will I be expected to part with more cash? I already parted with £400 with the promise from Tacx that 'this is just the beginning' - If i knew I'd have to pay for thend, I probably wouldn't have bothered. Thanks,
Col.
