Old school tubular rims

So, I want to lace up a pair of old school (90'-96' or so) high end NOS tubulars for long sunday rides. I want the ride to be COMFY, yet responsive, forgiving, but not sloppy. Any suggestions on rims?

ive got a pair of wolber profil 18 sprints(in gold),circa 1985 with miche hubs and rolling on clement tubs, plush but sharp at the same time and NEVER punctures. (almost never!) Why upgrade when these really fly uphill?????
