***Rolling Brewery History Tour***
What: An informal bicycling tour of Chicago's brewing past present and future led by former Goose
Island brewer Josh Deth.
When: Sunday, June 1st, 2003 1-5pm
Where: Show up with a bicycle at Handlebar, 2311 W. North Ave. (plenty of bike parking in back,
enter from alley)
Cost: Zip, zero, zilch
This will be a leisurely bike ride, with frequent refueling stops. The total route will cover about
10-15 miles and will take us from the Northwest side to Pilsen & Bridgeport and back. We'll pause to
gaze at forlorn brick buildings that once housed Chicago's brewing industry and make a few stops at
active brewing plants to follow the evolution of the craft. I think I can smell the hops already.
