Hi. I just bought a cycleops fluid2 trainer, and am trying to use it with my bicycle, which does not have a quick release rear wheel.

First let me say, I know nothing about bicycle repair. The manual says to replace the skewer on your bike with the one supplied. So I thought I needed to replace the part that is on my bike with theirs. I have a bike book, which I followed the instructions in to remove the wheel, and now I am starting to think that I am not supposed to do this - because I don't think that the one they supplied will work with my non quick release wheel. Does anyone know?

They mention something in the faq about using different bolts? Do you know, am I supposed to not use that skewer, and use the different bolts on my bike - or is there a chance it will fit as it is. I'm going to put my wheel back on now while I still remember where the chain goes back on.

This is an old bike, but I still don't want to mess anything up on it.

Hi. I wanted to let you know. I figured it out. I got the bike back together and managed to get it into the trainer as - is, with no modifications.

Those instructions are confusing - and they don't give you instructions on what to do for a non quick release bike. I wish they had more actual photos in them.
