1 cup soft butter
2 cups sifted flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup walnuts finely chopped
Heat oven to 350. Blend all ingredients well. Roll on lightly
floured cloth covered board with cloth covered rolling pin to about
1/4 inch thick or less. Cut with cookie cutter 1 1/2 inches in
diameter Bake 10 to 12 minutes on ungreased baking sheet. Cookies
may be served plain, sprinkled with confectioners sugar,frosted
with bitter chocolate icing or stacked sandwich fashion with
raspberry jam. Makes 8 dozen.
