32 spokes, cross 4

Hi!
I have an rim with 32 holes, and having problem to find spokes of right length
for 3 crosses, but I could find right spokes for cross 4 build.
I was wondering just how smart it is to build the wheel in X4 pattern. I know
that using too many crosses can cause spoke head interference problems at the
hub for very large or small hub flanges. It can also cause the spokes to enter
the rim at too great angle for very small rims.
Rim: 599 ERD
Hub: Pitch circle diameter 45mm (both sides)
Flange distance 32.6mm (L) & 16.9mm (R)
Since this is an road rim with "large" ERD, I was thinking I could be OK with
X4.
Any thoughts?

Yes you can lace 4 cross but as you mentioned, you will have a lot of
spoke overlap on the hub flange. WEhere are you? I can get spokes the
right length for you, DT, and send them. No need to use the wrong length.

I live in Croatia....don't bother with sending, shipping would probbably cost
more than spokes :))

He's either in Croatia or Herzegovina if I'm reading the headers
correctly.

I'd go x3. x4 is best for 40 spokes or more. As well as head
interference you can get acute spoke/rim angles.

Au contraire.

I can get 2 wheels worth of spokes/nipples to you in under
a week for $10.
