Hi, just wondering what is the advantage/disadvantage of having a raked/straight fork? What are they for? and why some people prefer one over the other?
Thanks

All forks have rake. Straight bladed ones have the rake built into the crown rather than at the dropouts. Everything else being equal it's about nothing but looks.

Some may claim that straight-bladed forks result in a different ride/feel quality but I doubt there's any truth to that. It's about looks. On a somewhat related note, and given that I'm prone to procrastination during back-to-work Mondays... I wouldn't kick this out of bed for eating crackers but the forks/stays are just plain silly!
