Personally what I would do is let somone else eat them who likes them, but
heres a recipe my grandmother used to do to make them more palatable.
Turnips with Brown Sugar Glaze
2 lbs turnips peeled and quarterd
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 Tbsp butter
juice of one orange
oil
Place turnips in a roasting pan well coated in oil and roast till tender,
Last 15 - 20 mins of cook time add the butter brown sugar and orange
Juice....
Serve hot...unless i'm coming to dinner , i wont eat the foul things
