Did u drown a few sherbits - as DD would say ?

Could be worse - think of Pantani & Co.
Thank you Lim for your felicitations on this auspicious occasion of reaching senility. I always think of the riders who never made it thus far. Some time ago we discussed consequences of a life on a bike, and came to the same conclusion as to the probable outcome, albeit in different manifestations. So to quote Dylan Thomas from the preacher in Under Milkwood. "Whether we last the night or no, is always a matter of touch and go".

He's mulling the size of frame over (he uses a 58cm frame normally).
I think he's worried about it being a 57cm frame (1cm can make the difference).
As soon as I hear anything - I'll let you know.

If you're having a difficulty getting rid of it - I know of a shop that will do a trade-in here in Limerick.
would that be the shop you were telling me about on the dock rd? do you think he would do me a good deal?

Dock Road doesn't do trade-ins.

Siopa Rothar in John Street (opposite Barringstons Hospital ) does though.
If you are thinking about trading it in - he'll give you a good deal.

I hope to hear from my buddy toward the end of this week - he's travelling down from Dublin and I'll get a definitve answer.
Are you round the weekend, in case he wants to have a look ?

funny that you mention this - I know of two people who have died while out cycling - both in the early forties and both from anurisms.
Both were fit people and both of them lead a healthy lifestyle.
Don't mean to be morbid but it does seem to be an occupational hazard with cycling.

Look at Gerrie Knetteman - dropped dead on a training spin last week, 53.

Yep - if you want to PM your mobile number to me and if my pal is interested,
I'll give you a call at the weekend.

Siopa Rothar will do you a trade in.

Kinda miss the knowledge of people on the old ES site.

Have renewed my subscription to Cycle Sport, I had started to buy ProCycling but it seems to be very LA-centric.
I cannot recall a month recently when it didn't feature LA.

CS is more rounded - enjoyed the articles they did about the different cycling nations.
Holland article was very good : seeing Rooks, Zootemelk & Co.
See, I got the impression that Cyclesport was US centered - the "version" that I was receiving was "CycleSport America" - I started getting Procycling and damned if the one of the first few issues I receive isn't "Lances Chances." Who the F%%#$ cares? It's very early and chances are that he doesn't even ride the tour. Tell me about Cross or something about off season training methods, not more regurgitated crap.

Now, I am off my soap box. Carry on citizens, nothing to see here.

Cheeky sod you are. Now tell us what is your winter training programme is, if any. We have the remedies to make you a better rider. Right, what races are you thinking of riding next season?

Re: Xes - Message Board

Fiddling around on the BBC news web-site this morning, I was amazed to find this link.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/othe...ng/default.stm

Have a look - much better than you'd expect from a broadcasting organisation which usually regards us lot as freaks.
