Parts for Minoura Magturbo trainer

Has anyone found a source of parts for Manoura Magturbo trainers? I offered to investigate grinding noises in a friend's 6-year-old trainer that it turns out are caused by a cracked plastic housing which lets the stationary magnet plate move around and contact the rotating disc. The plastic housing is a pretty simple component that shouldn't cost much. The rest of the trainer is in great shape - bearings run smooth. The local bike shop suggests a new trainer is the best solution (for them I guess) , but I'd like to just replace the plastic housing with a new one.

I just joined the forum today while searching for information on these trainers, and will really appreciate any help received.

I had the same problem with mine...as I recall, i went to the Minoura web site on line, which directed me to a US representative for the company...at the time, my Hyperrim trainer was a year old, and they replaced the unit for free. I had no luck getting any replacement parts for the trainer thru my LBS. Try the US Minoura rep at this email addy or phone number minourausa@attglobal.net (510) 538-8599. Hope this helps.
